We seek a highly qualified and experienced IB Diploma Psychology Teacher to join our Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Psychology at the High/Secondary school level using the IB DP curriculum.

Responsabilidades e atribuições

Key Responsibilities:

Teach IB DP Psychology Courses: Deliver engaging and rigorous IB DP Psychology lessons, covering the biological, cognitive, and sociocultural approaches to understanding behavior.
Develop Lesson Plans: Create and implement lesson plans that align with IB standards, incorporating diverse methods of inquiry and applied psychology.
Facilitate Psychological Inquiry: Guide students through scientific observations, hypothesis testing, and the development of theories to explain psychological phenomena.
Promote Conceptual Understanding: Help students make connections between different areas of psychology and apply them to real-world problems, fostering a holistic understanding of the subject.
Encourage Ethical Practice: Emphasize the importance of ethical considerations in psychological research and ensure ethical practices are upheld in all student inquiries.
Foster Analytical Skills: Develop students’ abilities to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize psychological information and research, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.

Requisitos e qualificações

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, specifically in IB DP Psychology.
Certification: Must be certified for the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Motivational Skills: Proven ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning and psychological inquiry.
Didactic Skills: Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to develop and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons.
Relationship Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Communication Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Technology Integration: Proficient in utilizing technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
