We’re looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Determining technology requirements in support of the company business needs. Identifying and recommending new technology solutions Directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware Developing and overseeing SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) metrics for hardware, software, and storage Ensuring strategic capacity planning Managing all or part of the IT department, including: Directly supervising some employees Hiring certain members Handling employees’ concerns and performances Communicating with the internal corporate technology groups and other departments as collaboration requires Identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security Managing the Brazil local help desk Establish and maintain a technology resource plan inclusive of development plans for all Technology employees. Establish and maintain application maintenance and support plans, inclusive of resolution planning, patch upgrading, STP enhancements and software upgrades. Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting Establish a technology vendor management plan to ensure adoption of all the company procurement and vendor management standards. Create a technology audit plan and continuous alignment strategy and plan which meets the company standards. Implementing executive policies Development and management of technology services required to support business continuity plans Works with department heads in Finance, Tax, Operation, Compliance, Front Office, Middle Office and Risk to manage projects and programs associated with the support and growth of the business. Ensure a strong understanding of the company Brasil business operations and products. Create technology application program development plans and ensure regular, timely and accurate reporting of such programs to senior management. Establish over time a local team which has strong business product and operational workflow knowledge coupled with sound engineering and software engineering practices. Ensure alignment to Global Markets Technology and the company corporate technology groups directly or indirectly supporting their business operations, the company Security, Procurement, Infrastructure Services and Architecture teams. B.S. in computer science or engineering field of study, candiates with Masters will be given preference. Minimum of 10 years experience with 3 years of management level experience 5 years of experience in a global financial institution, preferably Capital Markets or Trading organization. Strong understanding of financial markets, candidates with FX trading knowledge will be given preference. Fluent (spoken and written) in Portuguese and English
