We are looking for a Regional Director for LATAM. As Regional Director, you will be responsible for delivering with regional teams, supporting the performance of Booking.com targets, by working closely with key partners to achieve this. Excellence in Partner Service and Employee Engagement are key ingredients where the Regional Director is focusing on.
This leader must foster a work environment focused on teamwork and results consistent with the Booking.com culture. Deliverables include achievement of quarterly and annual business targets, developing talent on the team to enable higher performance and of succession planning.
Primarily leading their own teams and being part of a Regional Leadership Team (NORAM), the Regional Director is also an active part of the Partner Services team globally, where the Regional Director contributes with peers and global teams on projects and initiatives aimed at positioning Booking.com solidly in a fast changing environment.
We’re looking for an individual with a strong background in a consumer-oriented industry, successful senior level business development skills and demonstrated success in leading dynamic commercial teams. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and engaged leader with the ability to influence teams and functions at the highest levels.
Reports to: Vice President and Managing Director of NORAM
Optimise the business, support further development and significantly increase market share within each country in the region;
Represent the region in the NORAM leadership team. Support with the implementation of commercial and operating strategies, goals and action plans that optimise EMEA’s business profitability and support long-term growth, sustainability and success;
Act as the regional representative of the company with media and other external stakeholders working in close cooperation with supporting functions like Public Affairs, Legal & Compliance, Public Relations, Risk & Security
Develop ‘win-win’, long-term relationships with external business partners;
Provide relevant priorities and regional product inputs to drive success of Partner Services in the region;
Operate successfully at all levels within a variety of organisations and cultures across the region. This includes hotels, hotel chains and other accommodations;
Lead a team across the region, thinking strategically about market coverage, top down guidance and important commercial topics to be pushed;
Further develop a high performance and team-oriented culture; achieve key goals in a team;
Develop local talent and build a pipeline of future leaders for the organisation.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
10+ years relevant work experience of which at least 8 in a managerial position, hospitality or travel experience is a plus;
Ability to envision, articulate, and execute a compelling future for the business;
Demonstrated success growing new areas and effectively performance managing existing areas;
Ability to turn global strategy into local execution plans required for success;
Strong drive to succeed through the best product and service offering for customers;
Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into action;
Capacity to work well under pressure, flexibly adapting and responding to changing situations;
Superior relationship management across partners critical to Booking.com’s business success and internal stakeholder groups critical to professional success;
Experience working with senior leadership, self-confident and capable in building proactive and meaningful relationships throughout the global Booking.com organisation;
Strong leadership skills, able to lead a unified team with shared vision, shared goals, and with an overwhelming desire to make your team succeed and continuously develop;
Proven ability to identify, motivate and develop talent;
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or a related area; Master’s degree preferred
Availability to travel 30-50% of the time
