What you’ll do

As the Manager of the Systems Integration Engineering team, you’ll be working closely with backend software developers, engineers, and the product, customer success, and commercial teams to organize and schedule integration projects and initiatives. You will work closely with the directors to drive the general strategy of the team and ensure it’s aligned with the general strategy of the Engineering department. This is a job with a lot of moving pieces where you’ll be able to get involved with many aspects of the Software Team’s work, directly affecting our overall efficiency as a company.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the implementation and commercial teams to plan new integration projects, reviewing scope and blueprints documentation.
  • Think on your feet and comfortably discuss technical concepts, explaining how Tractian works from both a product feature and system architecture perspective.
  • Join meetings with customers and address their questions about our products and systems.
  • Act as the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our integration team and initiatives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our technical systems to help the technical leadership and development team generate the best possible performance and impact on our projects and initiatives.
  • Allocate technical and personal resources to projects, define priorities, and create timelines to achieve the best possible results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Integration Engineer or similar role, with expertise in software development and integrations.
  • Proven experience as a software engineering team manager and/or in a technical leadership role.
  • Technical proficiency with programming languages such as Python and NodeJS, and document and relational databases (especially MongoDB and PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with security best practices in software integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under strict deadlines.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and critical systems with very high SLA requirements.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with project documentation and proceduralization.
  • Experience with customer relationships.
  • Advanced/Fluent proficiency in English.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with ERP software integrations (SAP/TOTVS) or other enterprise-level software systems.
  • Experience with data processing and automation tools such as Airflow, Temporal, Dagster.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
  • Previous work on software integrations in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience in early-stage growth startups and/or being part of founding teams.
  • Advanced/Fluent proficiency in Spanish.
  • Reside in the Greater São Paulo area.
